AbcoFilmCorp was founded in 2006 by Mass Abedi and is a Vancouver production company. Our versatile scope includes promotional clips, corporate image films, documentaries and television productions such as our weekly broadcast German and Dutch Language TV Shows AhornTV and TulipTV. Both magazine-style shows target a wide range of German- and Dutch-speaking communities in Canada, as well as Canadians who are interested in the German and Dutch culture and language.
Mass Abedi has among other things worked as Production Manager - freelance for ARD (1st German Television), Supervising Producer/Production Consultant at RTL Televizia, Head of Production at Helkon Media, Head of Production at Plaza Media,Head of Outside Broadcast Production Units at DSF German SportsNetwork.
His area of expertise covers Extensive TV Broadcast Production Management, Know-how to prepare and coordinate all kinds of live/semi-live projects in show & sports. Due to his long lasting media work he is very well networked into politics, sports, media & business partners.
The team around Mass Abedi, producer, owner & visionary, has a lot of international expertise in the media industry. Creative Producer Katja De Bock worked for over ten years as a Commissioning Editor and Executive Producer at WDR, Germany’s largest public broadcaster. She received awards such as Best German TV Production, and many more international awards for productions such as “Good Bye, Lenin!”, “Contergan/ Side Effects”, “NoBody’s Perfect”, “Die Fremde/When we Leave”.
TulipTV and AhornTV are weekly television shows, produced in Vancouver, Canada. Both tell stories of people, events and entrepreneurs, particularly in arts & culture, economy, tourism and green technologies. We target all Germans and Dutch in Canada as well as all people who are interested in both cultures and languages.
